David Titterington

David Titterington

David is Artistic Director of the St Albans International Organ Festival, Head of Organ at the Royal Academy of Music, Organ Curator at St John's Smith Square and a Visiting Professor at the Liszt Academy, Budapest. He was brought up in Bolton and received early lessons in organ studies from William Morgan, a previous organist at Bolton Parish Church and was taught piano by Michael Greenhalgh, BCU's Musical Director. He also had connections with Bolton Little Theatre and was Musical Director for the production of 'Sing a Rude Song' which was produced by Jean Hansen. He was one of the first people to receive an Honorary Doctorate from Bolton University.

Michael Greenhalgh

Michael began his professional musical training at the Northern School of Music in Manchester and King's College Newcastle, where he also gained his professional teaching qualification. He then became Head of Music at Darwen Vale High School and acquired an enviable reputation in the local area for producing musicals and operas of the highest quality.

Ruth Hollick

Our accompanist at all our rehearsals and many of our concerts is Ruth Hollick. Ruth joined us in 2006 and her great talent as an accompanist and her calm, cheerful disposition is greatly appreciated by both our musical director Michael Greenhalgh and choir members.
